Once again I have my good friend Sean Bateman (who's blog you can also read to find out about this fabulous CD- you really should just read his post because it's much more informative and better in general) to thank for this wonderful CD. Panic at the Disco- formally known as Panic! at the Disco- has finally released their new album. I know you're thinking that it's probably just as bad as their last CD A Fever You Can't Sweat Out but it's not, I promise. When I first heard their single "Nine in the Afternoon" I couldn't wait for the release of Pretty. Odd. While "Nine in the Afternoon" still remains one of my favorite songs on the album it's only because a friend of mine and myself had a silent dance along to this song on our 21 hour bus ride to New York City. :)
My anticipation for this CD was high, but not nearly high enough for what I've gotten out of it. As my anticipation for summer continues to grow rapidly this album fits perfectly with my mood. Pretty. Odd. is full of cheery, upbeat songs about summer that remind me of spending a warm summer day/night outside with my friends sinning at the top of our lungs and dancing around like idiots. My current favorite song (not just from this CD but from everything I'm currently listening to) is defiantly "When the Day Met the Night". The last minute of the song is harmonizing the word 'summer' over and over again, I mean who couldn't love a song that harmonizes about summer! The whole album puts me in a better mood every time I listen to it.
